Description:

The Sales & Business Development Department is responsible for generating revenue for the Green Bay Packers organization through the sale of corporate sponsorships. The department is also responsible for managing the relationships with corporate partners. Interns will be responsible for assisting the Sales & Business Development staff in day-to-day operations of the department. This includes, but is not limited to: client / partner relations, inventory management and the planning and execution of special events. Interns may be asked to work nights, holidays and weekends as needed. Attendance is required for all applicable home games, training camp and marquee events (i.e. Family Night).

This is a paid internship and entails 40+ hours during the work week (Monday-Friday). Interns must be present in the office (internship cannot be completed remotely). The approximate timeframe for this position is one full year starting in early to mid-May 2019 through June 2020 and official start/end date is subject to change and will be dictated by the Packers.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare Sales & Business Development documents for clients. Examples may include: sales decks, proof of performance and activation plans.
Join Sales & Business Development staff at select meetings with partners.
Assist the Partnership Services team with fulfillment of corporate partnership assets.
Assist with day-to-day Sales & Business Development administrative needs.
Assist with client hospitality on game days, training camp and special events.
Assist with the coordination of various Sales & Business Development activities during training camp, including, but not limited to: client hospitality visits, signage and sponsor activations.
Assist with coordinating, planning, and executing special events. Examples include: Corporate Luncheon Series, training camp, 5K Run, Family Night, Festival of Lights, player appearances and partner events.
Assist with coordination and execution of Sales & Business Development game day elements. Elements may include: client hospitality, contests/promotions, client activations/displays, etc.
Work closely with the Game Entertainment Intern on coordination and execution of game day elements.
Assist Sales & Business Development and Game Entertainment staff with promotions on and off-field on game days.
Daily computer work, power point documents, spreadsheets, etc.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree (junior status minimum) in related field.
Previous work experience in sports marketing and/or sports marketing events outside of classroom work required. Example: internship / volunteer time with a sports team or athletic dept.
Internship and/or part-time experience with other sports teams preferred.
Above average communication skills.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to handle various projects at one time while performing at a very high level.
Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours, within a team environment.

Description:

The National Football League announced the inaugural NFL Big Data Bowl, a football analytics competition affording college students and professionals the opportunity to utilize historical data sets of the same player tracking data used by teams and suggest innovations about how football is played and coached.

Finalists will have the unique opportunity to present to league and club personnel at the 2019 Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, accessing NFL player tracking data used by teams to analyze league trends and develop on-field strategies.

How to Register:

Beginning today, participants can sign up for the competition via ops.nfl.com/big-data-bowl in one of two competing categories - an undergraduate/graduate student division and an open division for participants not in higher education. Upon registering, participants will be emailed information on how to access the data to begin their submission.

Description:

Working at the direction of the Junior Tour Director, the intern will learn all aspects of golf administration including the following:

Tournament and Championship administration:

Assist with the processing of tournament applications
Assist with preparation of information for competitors
Communicate with tournament sites for event set up
On site tournament work (Course Marking, Setup, Local Rules, etc.)
Prepare materials for competitions, i.e., pairings sheets, scorecards, scoresheets, local rules sheets, and hole location sheets
Assist rules officials and administrators at tournament site
Compile data for Player of the Year points system
Tournament coordinator for Pepsi Par 3 Tour and Future Champions Tour
Assist Junior Tour Director at Junior Tour events and Players Tour events
Administer Drive, Chip & Putt program

General office administration:

Answer phone, respond to email inquiries, assist with mailings
Assist with maintenance and updating of social media

Qualifications: Strong consideration will be given to individuals who:

Are pursuing an education in sports administration or related field Knowledge of golf and golf terminology
Ability to travel around state of Wisconsin (access to automobile)
Willing to work some weekends, early mornings and long days as needed
Demonstrate strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and database programs) Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Approximately $1,600 per month (based on 40 hours per week)
WPGA Staff apparel
Reimbursement of travel expenses

The Madison Mallards are seeking an individual to assist in the team’s community relations for the duration of January to April. This individual will work closely with the Community Relations Coordinator to oversee appearances on behalf of the Madison Mallards, execute donation packages, and assist in facilitating the Northwoods League largest reading program.

Responsibilities Include -

Scheduling and facilitating Maynard appearances
Organizing and fulfilling donation request inquiries
Assist in the facilitation of the Maynard’s Lil’ Duck Reading Program
